  • Responsibilities

    Located at Peterson AFB, CO (Colorado Springs)

    • Test and evaluation, test support, operations analyses, technical studies, and various analyses and support activities including program/system security to Strategic Warning and Surveillance, Space Systems, and/or Intelligence Systems
    • Conduct data analysis and apply knowledge of engineering technology under the direction of engineering staff.
    • Assist in the development of system requirements, performance measures, test phase entry/exit criteria, and analysis of test design constraints functional capabilities, and metrics.
    • Support Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Operational Test (OT), Force Development Evaluation (FDE), Risk Reduction Testing (RRT) and certification for test readiness; identify deficiencies, verify compliance with specifications and standards, and assess stability of various system configurations.
    • Support senior engineers when interacting with System Program Offices, other services, and development contractors.
    • Prepare, execute, review, and analyze test plans, procedures, metrics, and reports throughout the software development life cycle.
    • Develop and write methods of tests, Concept of Operations (CONOPS), test cases, test objectives/procedures, test directives, technical or letter reports, analysis and review of requirements, and other test process documents as required in the conduct of testing.
    • Coordinate schedules, pre-and post-test activities, logistics of test planning, and test reports.
    • May require travel to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations (OCONUS and CONUS).

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COMBINATIONS IS REQUIRED: 

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline and a minimum of 3 years of technical experience

    • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline and 7 years of technical experience

    • HS Diploma or equivalent and 9 years technical experience

    • Relevant technical experience in fields such as: space operations, astrodynamics, space sensors, service oriented architecture software, testing.

    • Active SECRET clearance; US Citizenship required

    • Some positions may require Top Secret or TS/SCI

    • Some positions may require travel to contractors' facilities, test sites, and other locations, both CONUS and OCONUS

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

    B.S. from an accredited university or equivalent experience

    10-12 years of experience working with engineering drawings

    Knowledge of engineering specifications (ASME Y14.100-2004, ASME Y14.5M-2004, MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-130)

    U.S. Citizenship status required

    Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance or higher.

    Expert knowledge of US Navy C4I Program support required. This is to include:

    • Prepare/provide regular briefings to engineering staff up to Flag Level.
    • Establish/maintain program requirements, report ongoing progress with individual projects.
    • Report overall program health, by performing periodic and sustained engineering analysis.
    • Understand both US Navy CONUS and OCONUS shipboard/shore command procedure for C4I systems sustainment and upgrade, by providing both administrative and technical liaison.

    Familiarity with drafting/drawing practices in accordance with SSCPAC Instruction TD 714 and ASME Y14.100 including schematics, wiring diagrams, connection diagrams, wire lists, and cable assemblies. Reference designations per ASME Y14.44 and diagrams per ASME Y14.24.

    Familiar with the following software: AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Pro, as related with structural and mechanical engineering design.

    The analyst should be willing to learn additional software as needed such as, SolidEdge, FARO Scene, Rhino 3D, Reliasoft Synthesis, Ultimaker 3D.
