    ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION:

    CareSpot/MedPost Urgent Care has a full time position available in our accounting department for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist.  We are looking for individuals who possess a positive attitude and have strong work ethic.  In this position you will gain exposure to various accounting concepts and tasks within the department.  You will interact with field personnel and other departments within the corporate office.     Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Manage payables and process invoices for 35 or more urgent care centers
    • Ensure proper coding and approval documentation for all invoices
    • Match invoices to checks, ensuring proper approval and accuracy
    • Respond to any vendor issues
    • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
    • Assist with month end closing
    • Sort and distribute incoming mail
    • Assist with projects as needed

    Requirements:

    • 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
    • At least two (2) years proficiency with Excel
    • Experience with Great Plains (or similar accounting software)

  • Qualifications

     

    QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of one (1) year clerical experience.
    • Demonstrated skills in using various computer software, including ability to use the Windows operating system as well as common office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and current Civil Engineering Data Management System and Discover.
    • Ability to adapt to changes in technology.
    • Prior radio dispatch experience.
    • Maintain all necessary License/ID/Certifications.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; must be able to read, write and speak fluent English, to include proper phone, radio, and written courtesy.
    • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional and courteous manner in diversified situations.
    • Shift work may be required.

     

            PREFERRED:

     

    • Experience dispatching maintenance technicians and documenting work requirements.

    • Minimum of three (3) year clerical experience.

    • Military experience.

    • Previous experience working on a military installation.

    • Experience working on Tinker facilities maintenance and repair.

    • Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.

    • Prior experience dispatching facilities maintenance technicians.
