GENERAL NATURE OF JOB:
Effectively manages given metrics for achieving proper inventory turns, inventory levels and on-time delivery through the use of continuous improvement tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain metrics, reports, visual boards and schedules to support the planning and operations functions in ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Communicate with appropriate functional associates and managers on matters relating to inventory, customer and material requirement issues.
- Perform analysis, data entry and problem-solving to improve inventory accuracy. Maintain appropriate documentation as needed.
- Manage and communicate the reporting of inventory related items including Scrap, Production and Inventory Write-offs.
- Work closely with Manufacturing and Production & Inventory Control to proactively resolve problems concerning schedules, production, and inventory accuracy.
- Responsible for creating, managing and maintaining the planning responsibilities for assigned area(s).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree and/or a minimum of two years’ experience in inventory control in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent computer skills to include Windows, Excel and Word
- Experience with Oracle a plus
- Excellent communication/organizational skills
- Ability to function as a part of a team with a “can do”, positive, proactive attitude.
