  • Responsibilities

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

     

    • Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks, including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and network management systems*
    • Monitor network connectivity and ensure high quality data transmission*
    • Analyze local and wide area network systems, to include testing*
    • Resolve complex interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms *
    • Configure communication media with routers, switches, firewalls and other devices
    • Configure routine systems to user environments
    • Participate in planning, researching, evaluating, designing and developing plans for network systems

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field such as information systems, engineering or other related field, or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 2-8 years related experience
    • Network management experience with TCP/IP, route/switch, VLANS, Cisco IOS/NXOS/ACI
    • Experience in the securing of network devices through access controls.
    • Proficient with the mitigation and remediation of network devices in accordance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts.        
    • Experience running network cabling
    • Working knowledge of desktop applications (including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs) and other applicable systems and applications
    • Be able to lift 50 pounds
    • U.S. Citizenship required
    • Must obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of hire date
    • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for DIA-SCI access. Candidate selected must successfully pass a DIA CI polygraph within 60 days of hire date

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Master’s degree in related field such as information systems, engineering or other related field, or equivalent experience
    • Current Cisco CCNA and Security+ Certifications
    • 2+ years programming or scripting experience
    • 5 years experience managing Windows and Linux environments
    • Experience with the administration of Ethernet and InfiniBand networks
    • Experience with the upgrade and configuration of cryptographic devices (TACLANE)
    • Knowledgeable of basic infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, GPFS, NFS, CIFS Syslog and user authentication
    • Experience working with routing and switching in virtual environments utilizing VMware ESXi
