  • Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

     

    -Assists the Movement Coordinator with supporting RC units/soldiers for all movement requirements with focus on in/outbound flights for personnel and equipment

    -Updates unit air flow and spreadsheets with info for all in/outbound movements

    -Coordinates transportation assets in the absence of the Movement Coordinator

    -Assist deploying units with baggage layout and inspection at North Fort Hood

    -Assists units through airfield manifest

    -Coordinate with ITO for off post transportation support

    -Present/conduct Passenger Movement Briefing to units

    -Instructs units on movement requirements and processes at Fort Hood

    -Assist Unit Movement Officers with administrative procedures for movement and points of contact for various DOD agencies

    -Occasional work at Fort Hood (main post) may be required

     

     

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    -Performs other duties as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    Education and Experience:

     

    -High School diploma and some college preferred

    -Must be able to type 40 wpm

    -Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook

    -Must have Secret Security Clearance

    -Must have experience with the US Army, working at the battalion level or higher

    -Experience with Single Mobility System (SMS) and/or Integrated Data Environment (IDE)/Global Transportation Network (GTN) Convergence (IDC) preferred

    -Knowledge or prior experience as a Unit Movement Officer (UMO) preferred

     

     

    Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

     

    -Excellent personal communication skills

    -Public speaking/military briefing skills

    -Must have valid state driver’s license and be able to maintain post driving privileges

    -Must be able obtain/maintain Common Access Card

    -Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines

    -Must be able to devise steps necessary to complete tasks

    -Ability to read, write, and understand English

    Job is performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment may vary from moderate to high depending on location.  Occasional work outdoors in a non-climate controlled building and limited exposure to the elements.

    Must have a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTI are required.
