McKean Defense is seeking an Engineering Technician to be stationed in Sasebo Japan as an on-site representative.  The candidate will support the operation, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting for shipboard control systems on LHA-6. The candidate's duties/responsibilities will include:

1. Leading shipboard test and troubleshooting events

2. Troubleshoot and repair control systems with use of system documentation and electrical schematics

3. Provide shipboard software and hardware installation support. Oversee and ensure quality assurance for shipboard installations.

4. Provide documented status on a regular basis

5. Act as a liaison between shipboard test teams, ship's force, and technical leads at NSWCPD Philadelphia

6. Aid in technical documentation development, review, and implementation.  This may include technical manuals, test procedures, operation and maintenance procedures.

Required Experience

• 7 - 10 years of experience as an engineering technician
• Navy GSE shipboard experience
