Web Merchandiser: The Web Merchandiser’s primary focus is to drive sales from existing customer base. This person will utilize a broad digital skillset to deliver optimized experiences and targeted cross-sell and upsell offers to customers as they visit the website.  The position will be the internal advocate for digital optimization and responsible for helping to drive incremental revenue through analyzing site data, developing and executing onsite sales and marketing campaigns, and applying learnings to impact the user experience.

• • Helps execute tests scenarios to confirm hypotheses in improving conversion
    • Works with internal and external partners to translates business, technical and user requirements into usable designs, tests and experiences for web and mobile experiences
    • Supports the Current Customer Digital team to deliver a long-term, flexible vision for the customer journey online and helps execute the plan with continual testing, updates and changes to further enhance the user experience and help exceed all KPIs
    • Partners with the ecommerce team, creative agency, and internal technology partners to ensure adherence to and maintenance of site and brand standards while utilizing proven best practices in user design, experience and optimization
    • Reviews site experience daily and tests any site executions to ensure adherence to site standards
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across different teams
    • Prepares presentations and reporting to share learnings from all tests, best practices and future scenarios to improve conversion
    • Other duties as assigned

• REQUIREMENTS:

• • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
    • 5+ years of digital strategy and optimization on an ecommerce and/or transactional site  
    • Working Knowledge of HTML
    • Working knowledge of modern digital technologies, such as content management systems, targeting and web analytics platforms
    • Adobe Marketing Cloud experience desired, but not required
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across different teams
    • Self-motivated, independent individual who can perform at optimal levels with little guidance
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and influence others effectively
    • Excellent critical thinking skills; using logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems

Required Skills Required Experience

EDUCATION:

Requires a Bachelor degree in an associated discipline with at least fifteen (15) semester hours of equivalent study in a subject matter field or combination of fields pertinent to the position such as computer science, electronics, other applicable field, or the equivalent experience, i.e., any combination of undergraduate/graduate study/experience where two (2) years of experience in the required areas equals one (1) year of academic proficiency.

EXPERIENCE:

Requires three (3) years of experience as a technical writer of military specifications, standards, and technical manuals. Experience must include original writing or scientific, technical, engineering or other professional material requiring an understanding of the basic concepts, practices and specialized vocabulary of the appropriate scientific and technical field, and to acquire additional information about the field and related fields to describe the principles, operations, and basic concepts in clear simple language.

Knowledge and experience with the following is required:

1. Technical publication experience in particular to NAVAIR standards
2. Military Aviation Organizational Maintenance Experience
3. Military Equipment Organizational Maintenance Experience
4. Interactive Electronic Technical Manual usage experience
5. S1000D Specification experience
6. Writing, editing, or quality assurance of technical documentation experience
7. Strong attention to detail
8. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Experience as a central or dispersed technical publication librarian is desired.

Must be an US Citizen

Must have a secret clearance and be able to obtain a Yankee White access clearance.
