    GENERAL SUMMARY

    Creates numerous test plans on complex weapon systems for both internal and external customers.  Provides detailed plans, procedures, and documentation for all phases of each system test.  Oversees and operates numerous tests, sometimes concurrently.  Provides operational and engineering test reports for with supporting documentation to end users.  This position will require deployment overseas for a period not to exceed 45 days. Deployment compensation will apply. Work will involve climbing on military equipment, and will require being able to lift, carry, or move items up to approximately forty pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops and maintains relationships with developers, military, program management, and external agencies to ensure test objectives and requirement are properly designed.

    • Executes test plans for the follow: New software development, enterprise integration, function tests, regressions tests, DR verification tests, and any external system or tool requested by the Program Management Office.

    • Works interchangeably as a subordinate to and as a superior to others depending on the test requirements and scope.

    • Deploys to OCONUS locations to perform tests as required.

    SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Test Engineer will also fulfill a secondary position as a Subject Matter Expert for the Bounty Hunter Weapon System.  Secondary duties and responsibilities below reflect this additional duty position.

    • Provides system, database, and network administration to the systems.

    • Tests systems to ensure proper functionality.

    • Identifies, orders, receives, and tracks parts.

    • Prepares and coordinates equipment for shipment.

    • Installs and integrates parts on military systems.

    • Updates operations and maintenance material as required.

    • Provide Type-1 Operations and Maintenance Training.

    • Deploy to numerous AORs for no more than 45 days as sole Field Engineer.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent experience

    • Minimum of 8 years of related experience required

    • Operational space, satellite communications, and/or military intelligence experience

    • Ability to obtain and maintain Security+ CE within 6 months (if not already possessed)

    • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing and spreadsheet programs.

    • Currently active Top Secret clearance with immediate eligibility for SCI required

    • Ability to lift, carry, or move items up to approximately forty pounds (with or without reasonable accommodation).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Two years Satellite Geolocation experience

    • Current Security+ CE certification

    • Previous Bounty Hunter System operations experience

    • Computer system/network administration or maintenance experience

    • Systems engineering experience

    • Linux experience

    • Experience preparing, operating, and overseeing systems tests

    SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR POSITION

    • Must have minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
    • Must have experience with the National Guard
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Must have proficient computer skills (power point, word and excel)
    • MUST HAVE AT LEAST A SECRET SECURITY LEVEL CLEARANCE AND MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE AS REQUIRED.
    • Experience in applying advanced IT principles, concepts, methods, standards, and practices in order to interpret policies, procedures and strategies.
    • Must be able to provide solutions to highly complex technical IT issues.
    • Must possess knowledge of information systems security operations, techniques, tools, and standards.
    • Must have the ability to analyze, plan, and integrate information assurance and security guidelines and policies.
    • Specialized training in Cyber concepts is preferred.  Examples include: USAF Cyber 200 or Cyber 300 course or equivalent; computer network operations training; cyber security training, operational security (OPSEC) training.
