    Individual shall perform as the Operations Manager of Engineering located in Washington, DC. The Ops Manager will be responsible for managing revenue, business development, managing local staff and overseeing facilities costs. The Ops Manager usually oversees marketing and sales functions as well as the day-to-day operations of the business. The Ops Manager is responsible for effective planning, delegating, coordinating, staffing, organizing, and decision making to attain desirable profit making results for an organization supporting Federal Government contracts.

    Individual shall be responsible to ensure that Statements of Work (SOWs), Order Forms, Quotes, and corresponding documentation with Vendors align and are followed through completion and billing correctly. This includes familiarity with the technical requirements and work being performed to ensure all are within scope, appropriately documented, staffed, financially managed, and delivered to support the Government Agency requirements.

    Individual shall be responsible to assist program/project managers in reviewing customer requirements for service and material requests and validating SOW’s submitted by the Government. This includes supporting program/project managers with RFQ’s, establishing relationships, overseeing accurate project financial, technical, and managerial reports, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and use of corporate provisioned external and internal tools/databases. Individual will assist customer with special projects as they arise to support Senior Level Executive Management.

    Assists with a full realm of administrative support services to the operations team supporting the customer from Strategic Development through Project Management and Billing.  Additionally, this resource will be interacting with project subcontractors, vendors, corporate support teams, resource management and consolidating project reports for the customer to ensure everyone is well informed of status. Accountable for maintaining the project tracking sheet for internal use, customer use, and vendor management.

    This position requires 50% travel.

    Required Skills

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • The proposed Operations Manager shall have a minimum of ten plus (10-15+) years management of government contracting, specifically with DoD contracts.
    • The proposed Operations Manager shall have a minimum of ten plus (10+) years of Logistics Management /Sustainment support.
    • Qualified candidate must currently hold an Active SECRET Security Clearance
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
    • Working knowledge of CostPoint, Deltek, Silkroad and PowerBI
    • Attention to detail and problem solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office with emphasis on Excel, Power Point, Word, Sharepoint and Project
    • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN MANAGING CONTRACTS FOR A FOR-PROFIT FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR
    • Bachelor's degree with 10-15 years of progressively responsible government contracting experience specifically with DoD contracts.
    • Minimum of ten plus (10+) years of Logistics Management /Sustainment support.
    • Qualified candidate must currently hold an Active SECRET Security Clearance
    • Strong experience with contract/subcontract management, proposal process, and procurement process
    • In-depth knowledge of the FAA AMS, FAR, DCAA requirements, and the federal contracting process
    • Excellent negotiation and budgeting skills
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent writing, communication and customer service skills
    • Be an action-oriented, self-motivator individual who can lead a team, work independently, and has strong organizational and personal skills
    • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
