  • Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government laws and internal operational policies, procedures and systems. The successful candidate will serve as subject matter expert to numerous internal organizations and ensures company maintains compliance with applicable regulations. This is a high-energy and very dynamic business environment. Some travel and overtime will be required. POSITION MAY BE LOCATED IN ANCHORAGE, AK OR HUNTSVILLE, AL.

    PRIMARY/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

    1. Primary point of contact for DCAA/DCMA/DOL and/or Contract financial audits. Responsible for timely submissions of incurred cost submissions.
    2. Detailed working knowledge of DCAA, FAR, CAS, TINA and related rules and regulations.
    3. Manage communication with federal agencies related to financial audits, requiring an in-depth knowledge of federal contracting types and regulations.
    4. Identify training needs and work with sites to establish plans to provide training. Develop and maintain training documentation regarding compliance with FAR and internal accounting policies and procedures.
    5. Manage indirect cost pool processing, to include design, implementation, and analysis.
    6. Work with Finance and Operations personnel to meet audit requirements and disseminate results as appropriate as it relates to proposal, Incurred costs, timekeeping, post award, etc.
    7. Manage, develop and maintain routine reviews and analysis of business systems, applicable DCAA Mandatory Annual Audit Requirements to ensure compliance.
    8. Manage financial aspects of Contract Close-out and de-obligation process for all types of contracts in coordination with the Contracts Department.
    9. Collaborate with other members of Finance to streamline and suggest improvements to monthly close processes.
    10. Assist in the collaboration with Corporate Finance and other departments to define, develop and implement innovative methods of data utilization to achieve company objectives in a highly efficient manner.
    11. Assist in disseminating information on FAR/DFAR requirements.
    12. Other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration
    2. A multi-disciplined financial professional with outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
    3. Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and data queries
    4. Strong data analytic skills required.
    5. A self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    1. 7 – 10 years documented government contracting experience
    2. Experience working the DCAA auditors and interacting with DCMA Contracting Officers
    3. Strong knowledge of FAR, DFARS and public law requirements for federal contracting, particularly FAR Part 31.
    4. Strong knowledge of federal contracting.

     

    PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    1. CPA/CMA or advanced degree
    2. Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense experience
