    Manage construction with small cells from initial site design visit through completed drawings including drawing review taking into account civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical feasibility; value engineering, zoning, FAA/FCC survey work, Phase 1/2 environmental, certification, signoff, and change orders. Manage construction activities related to the development of multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects including; Monitoring progress, Providing regular status updates, Resolving issues. Provide team leadership and guidance. Provide the necessary direction for individual/team growth and development. Demonstrate professionalism by responding to e-mails promptly, actively participating in meetings, ability to explain issues clearly, providing updates, maintaining records, working with other departments, and understanding the impact of their job to the overall business. Establish quality assurance methods, procedures, standards, and technical training related to site design and construction. Evaluate new products, services, and vendors. Weigh the pros and cons, including impact to the system, costs, compatibility, ease of use, reliability, timing parameters. Interface with internal and external departments as well as regulatory agencies by interacting with municipal agencies in the pursuit of building permits, construction inspections, and by finally obtaining certificates of occupancy for network facilities. Develop the skills and ability to represent the company at municipal hearings if needed in support of the Real Estate group. 5 to 7 years of experience.  JOB TITLE:  Construction Engineer  JOB DUTIES:  The position will require travel to sites across the Illinois/Wisconsin area.  The candidate will support the Wireless Small Cell team with construction related tasks.  Activities could be assigned daily or can be reoccurring depending on the type and length of each project. The position will work under the supervision of a  Manager and Construction Engineer lead.  Support wireless carrier construction projects from initial site design through completed drawings including drawing review taking into account civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical feasibility; value engineering, zoning, FAA/FCC survey work, Phase 1/2 environmental, certification, signoff, and change orders.  Support construction activities for multiple, simultaneous Network infrastructure projects including; support bid evaluation, design reviews, drawing reviews, bill of materials, site walks, monitoring vendor progress and quality. Provide regular status updates, resolve issues. Support project finances. Review changes to final product or services including. Track and drive delivery of fiber and power for projects.  Provide leadership and guidance to project, team members and external vendors.  Demonstrate professionalism by responding to e-mails and calls promptly, actively participate in meetings, ability to explain issues clearly, providing updates, maintaining records, working with other departments, and understanding the impact of their job to the overall business.  Support the establishment of quality assurance methods, procedures, standards, and technical training related to site design and construction.  Support evaluating new products, services, and vendors related to the projects. Weigh the pros and cons, including impact to the system, costs, compatibility, ease of use, reliability and timing parameters.  Interface with internal and external departments as well as regulatory agencies by interacting with municipal agencies in the pursuit of building permits, construction inspections, and by finally obtaining certificates of occupancy for network facilities.  Demonstrate the necessary skills and ability to represent the company at municipal hearings if needed in support of the Real Estate group.  5 to 7 years of related experience.  MUST HAVE SKILLS:  -Qualifications/Skills:  -Experience or exposure to the construction of wireless carrier projects, specifically building or maintaining cell sites or small cells.  -Knowledge or small cell construction and/or macro cell site construction.  -Understands all steps from design/drawing reveiws to close out packages.  -Can independent manage General Contractors and projects  -Understands all local civil and mechanic codes and requirements  -Strong MS Office Suite Skills; strong Excel experience and skills required  -Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Presents accurate and complete information  -Able to work independently and take ownership of work.  -High level of accountability. Can see projects through to completion.  -Proactive with seeking information or new assignments.  -Strong interpersonal skills. Able to get along with others while getting the job done.  -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Presents thoughts in a logical manner.  -Moves quickly when presented with tasks from team leads and senior management  -Takes action to push team leads to finish important tasks when deadlines approach and responsibilities are falling behind  -Capable of taking direction from multiple parties.     REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field or Associate degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field, and 2 years related experience.
    • Ability to travel is required.
    • Valid state driver’s license.
    • CPR/First Aid certifications
