  • Responsibilities

    This position’s main objective is to ensure the organization meets throughput, cycle time, and on‐time shipment goal’s by creating and managing the Master Production Schedule of all jobs.

    Manage schedule of each project’s complete cycle time in order to maximize efficiency and effectiveness and minimize bottlenecks to flow (e.g., approval drawings to customers, engineering (mechanical and electrical), material procurement, releases to Manufacturing, Fabrication, Production, Panel Wire, Structure Wire, Test, and shipment to the end customer) and monitor discrete gate process and performance.

    Support all of Point Eights Power’s departments by creating and constantly monitoring Project Schedules and adherence to the scheduled dates

     Communicate with departmental leadership and operations teams so that the capacity within each operational function (gate) is known.

    Coordinate with Program Managers, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to obtain the latest information to produce the Project Schedule.

     Daily confirm dates on all production projects via the ERP system, and update, as needed.

    Collaborate with Manufacturing and Program Managers to determine manpower requirements based on loadings.

    Participate in Project Kickoff meetings to identify a scheduling strategy that meets customer needs and considers the current loading and scheduling plan.

     Review & manage schedule with department leadership and operations team in order to maintain monthly revenue goals.

     Lead Operations meetings with a cross functional team focused on reviewing order issues and determining ownership and actions required to keep projects moving on time.

    Manage scheduling risks by conducting capacity modeling and developing “What If” scenarios and solutions

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing or System Engineering, or related field.

    Required Experience

    6 years of experience managing production schedules in an engineered‐to‐order manufacturing environment, required.

    2 years of experience managing production schedules using computer‐based scheduling software and/or applications within an ERP or MES. Experience with IFS ERP system a plus
