About the Role:
Boston's Bridge To Excellence Inc. is looking for a passionate and creative After School Art Teacher to inspire young minds in Boston, MA! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact by nurturing artistic expression and creativity in students after school hours. Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons for after school program participants
Introduce students to a variety of artistic mediums including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media
Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment that fosters creativity
Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, structured learning atmosphere
Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to support artistic development
Collaborate with program staff to align art activities with broader educational goals
Prepare and organize art supplies and materials for each session
Requirements:
Background or degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field preferred
Prior experience teaching or working with school-age children in an educational setting
Strong knowledge of various art techniques, mediums, and art history concepts
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Patient, enthusiastic, and nurturing demeanor with a passion for youth development
Ability to work afternoon/after school hours consistently
Must pass a background check in accordance with program requirements
