We use the game of chess to teach elementary school students critical life skills such as problem-solving, patience, and planning—all in a fun and supportive environment. Don't worry if you're not a chess master—if you love the game and enjoy working with children, we'll teach you the rest!

    What You'll Do:

    • Lead engaging, structured sessions during after-school hours (typically 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM)
    • Inspire students through patience, encouragement, and creativity
    • Travel to assigned school sites in South Bay Cities (that could consist of San Jose, Milpitas, and Santa Clara)
    • Ensure a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
    • What We're Looking For: Experience working with children (ages 5–11), such as tutoring, teaching, camp counseling, or mentoring
    • A passion for education and a desire to help students learn and grow
    • Reliable transportation (own car) is a must.
    • Punctuality and professionalism
    • Availability to work 4–6 hours per week, Monday through Friday
    • Willingness to undergo a background check
    • Basic knowledge of chess is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate!
    • Perks & Benefits: Competitive pay: $24–$26/hour
    • Mileage reimbursement for certain school locations
    • Flexible part-time schedule
    • Paid training and professional development
    • Supportive and mission-driven team
    • Access to a retirement plan
