    About the Role

    Ben Bellucci Academy is looking for an energetic, dependable, and soccer-loving After-School Instructor to lead our youth programs in the Temple Hills community. This role is designed for someone who can transform a school field or gym into a high-energy learning environment for students (Grades K-5).

    You don’t need to be a professional coach—we are looking for a mentor who can teach the "fun-damentals" of soccer while building confidence and teamwork in a safe, structured setting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Soccer Instruction: Lead age-appropriate drills focusing on footwork, dribbling, passing, and shooting.

    • Game Facilitation: Organize and referee small-sided scrimmages that emphasize sportsmanship and fair play.

    • Group Management: Manage a group of 15–20 elementary students, ensuring they stay active and engaged for the full session.

    • Logistics: Handle student check-in/out and coordinate with school staff. Responsible for the setup and breakdown of portable goals, cones, and balls.

    • Mentorship: Act as a positive role model, using encouragement to build students' character and love for the game.

    Qualifications

    • Experience working with children (coaching, teaching, camp counselor, or childcare).

    • Solid knowledge of soccer rules and fundamental skills.

    • Ability to maintain high energy and keep children focused in an outdoor or gym setting.

    • Reliable transportation to school sites in the Temple Hills/Oxon Hill area.

    • Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting in accordance with Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) safety standards.

    • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

    Schedule amp; Pay

    • Hours: After-school hours, typically ranging from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM or 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

    • Commitment: 1–3 days per week (flexible based on your availability).

    • Pay Rate: $22.00 – $27.00 per hour based on coaching experience and background.
