After-School Teacher (School-Age Qualified)

Location: Salisbury, MD Program: Mitchell’s Martial Arts Child Care Center Schedule: Afternoon / After-School Hours

Mitchell’s Martial Arts Child Care Center is looking for a School-Age Qualified After-School Teacher to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with elementary-aged children in a structured, active, and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage school-age children during after-school hours

Assist with homework and educational activities

Lead structured play, enrichment activities, and character-building programs

Maintain a safe, positive, and respectful environment

Communicate effectively with parents and staff

Qualifications:

Meets Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) requirements for school-age child care

Experience working with school-age children preferred

Strong classroom management and communication skills

CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred:

MSDE-approved training and certifications already completed

Experience in after-school or enrichment programs
