About the Role:
Renaissance Village LLC is looking for a passionate and nurturing After School Preschool Assistant Teacher to join our team in New York, NY! Responsibilities:
Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate after school activities for preschool-aged children
Supervise and engage children in structured play, arts and crafts, and educational activities
Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development in a nurturing environment
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom setting
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during pick-up and drop-off
Help manage daily routines including snack time, transitions, and rest periods
Assist in monitoring and documenting children's progress and behavior
Requirements:
Prior experience working with preschool or early childhood age groups preferred
Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for child development
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education a plus
CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to the well-being of children
