About Us: We are a Christian preschool and daycare, located inside Nampa College Church of the Nazarene, dedicated to providing a nurturing, safe, and faith-centered environment for children. Our mission is to support the growth and development of each child while reflecting Christ’s love through compassionate care and meaningful relationships.

Position Summary: We are seeking a dependable and positive Afternoon Aide to support our classrooms during the closing shift. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children in a Christ-centered environment and is looking for flexible, part-time hours. We are flexible in placing aides with age groups that best fit their interests and strengths.

Schedule:

• Typical hours: 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Optional extended hours available: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
• Opportunities to pick up additional morning sub shifts based on availability

Position Timeline:

• Start date: May 2026
• Position runs through the end of August, with the option to continue into the school year if desired

Key Responsibilities:

• Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
• Supervise children during playtime and transitions
• Communicate with parents at pickup about their child’s day in a friendly and professional manner
• Support closing duties, including fully resetting classrooms, cleaning and sanitizing all areas, shutting down rooms, and preparing them for the next day
• Engage positively with children and help create a calm, welcoming atmosphere
• Communicate respectfully with staff, children, and families
• Model Christ-like behavior and contribute to a kind, drama-free team culture

Qualifications:

• Enjoys working with children of various ages
• Responsible, punctual, and dependable
• Positive attitude and willingness to help where needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to different classrooms/age groups

Certifications & Requirements:

• Must have (or be able to obtain) an Enhanced Background Check through Idaho Health & Welfare
• CPR/First Aid/AED certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Faith Requirements:

• Have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
• Ability to model Christian values in interactions with children and staff
