About the Role:

Harmony Early Learning Center is looking for a warm, energetic, and dedicated Afternoon Teacher Assistant to join our team in Secaucus, NJ! Responsibilities:

Support lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and age-appropriate learning activities

Supervise and engage children during afternoon routines, including snack time, rest time, and play

Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment for all children

Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance using positive reinforcement techniques

Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during afternoon pick-up

Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom space

Observe and report on children's developmental progress and daily needs

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Early Childhood Education preferred

Prior experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare setting

Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with children

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to pass a background check and meet NJ childcare licensing requirements

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Reliable, punctual, and committed to afternoon shift availability
