    Afternoon Teacher – Classroom Support Role Location: The Learning Experience – Gainesville, VA Pay: $16–$20 per hour Schedule: Afternoon Shift, Monday–Friday

    The Learning Experience – Gainesville is seeking an Afternoon Teacher to support classrooms during later-day routines and dismissal transitions. This role helps ensure a smooth, safe, and positive end-of-day experience for children and families.

    This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple classrooms and supporting a team environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support classrooms serving infants through preschool-aged children

    Assist with afternoon routines, playground supervision, and dismissal transitions

    Help maintain a clean and organized learning environment

    Provide ratio coverage as needed across classrooms

    Communicate professionally with families during pickup times

    Collaborate with teaching staff and leadership

    Follow Virginia licensing and safety requirements

    Qualifications

    High school diploma required

    Prior childcare experience required

    Comfortable supporting multiple age groups

    Reliable and flexible with afternoon scheduling

    Must meet Virginia childcare licensing requirements
