    Job Description

    Job description Summary: Compiles and maintains control records and related files to release drawings, procedures, forms, engineering specifications and other documents to manufacturing and other operating departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ▪ Examines documents such as drawings, procedures, and forms to verify completeness and adherence to company guidelines. ▪ Coordinate and track the review and revision of specifications, procedures, forms, drawings and other documents. ▪ Confers with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compiles required changes to documents. ▪ Prepares manuals, sales, and other product data. ▪ Process new and revised documents. ▪ Oversee distribution of current/revised documentation and collections of obsolete documents and periodic auditing of controlled document locations to ensure that correct versions are being used. ▪ Process documents and maintain the document control system: including drawings, procedures, forms, engineering specifications, and other documents. ▪ Maintains all related files. ▪ Prepares requests for reproduction of documents. ▪ Prepares reports and memorandums. ▪ Manage and understand UL, FM, ATEX and other regulatory certificates and documentation. ▪ Manage office/safety supplies for area. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical or scientific document review experience, contract review, terms and conditions, or paralegal experience a plus. Any experience in an instrumentation, machining, welding, document control, electrical, or ISO 9001 environment is a plus. Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively. Math Ability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products. Experience with Autodesk products a plus. Work Environment: Office Environment. The noise level in the work environment is typically low. May be required to lift filing boxes up to 50lbs.
