TITLE: DBA II – DB2
LOCATION: Sacramento, CA / REMOTE
DURATION: 12 Months
KEY TECHNICAL SKILLS:
3-8 years applying the following (or comparable) skills:
· Provisioning and supporting complex pre-production or production environments, preferably in large organizations with multiple environments & concurrent code base activities, including:
assist with SQL development, SQL tuning with the application development group
use change control procedures for system changes that impact the database instances, including CICS, DB2 stored procedures or packages
DB2 administration experience in a large production environment, working on multi- terabyte databases, including:
installation and patching of small and multi-terabyte large DB2 LUW databases for operational and analytics systems
automated creation, patching and tuning of DB2 databases in production and multi stream development environments
support multi technology integration - ODBC/JDBC/tool based integrations for data interactions
responsible for application database backups, reorgs, migration of data between environments
support the application change management, including migration of DB2 code, stored procedures within the security context for production migrations
HA/DR experience
Experience with DB2 CDC setup, integration, and operations, including the support for CDC integration for streaming downstream data feeds
Local and wide area networking technologies
Storage technologies including SAN and NAS
Unix/Linux
Automation preferably using Ansible and Tower
Scripting languages such as python, bash and Perl
OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS:
· Graph Database, ELK, JBoss, AppDynamics, DB2, SQL Server, Docker, Azure DevOps
