    Job Description

    ur company is an established co-packer for the beverage industry and we are expanding our operation in the St Louis market to support our continued growth. We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill an immediate opening. This is full-time position with excellent benefits. Qualified candidates will have experience in leading a team in a fast paced manufacturing setting.

     

    Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the coordination and supervision of daily production, warehousing and material handling activities in a manner consistent with company service, quality and cost objectives.

    The job includes the daily activities of the production process including supervising line associates, daily targets and completing WMS tasks. The Operations Manager ensures the availability of all raw materials required for daily production as well as ensuring proper product rotation and date coding. They will also be responsible for warehousing activities including loading and unloading of materials.

     

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    Support all aspects of the production process associated with the following functions:

    ·      Meet daily production and shipment targets

    ·      Complete daily production report including production rates, waste, rework and traceability

    ·      Coordinate raw material availability to ensure production efficiencies and minimize down time

    ·      Train all associates as needed

    ·      Maintain work area clean and organized

    ·      Responsible for the proper use of all production equipment

    ·      Together with Maintenance team, ensure all equipment is functioning

    ·      Responsible for the safety of all production associates

    ·      Responsible for reporting all non conforming product in a timely manner

    ·      Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.

    ·      Identify and correct discrepancies on items at the location level as needed.

    ·      Maintenance and further development of process work instructions in regards to production

    ·      Coordinate staffing requirements with HR and Staffing agency

    Qualifications

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business, Management or other related field is highly preferred
    • Must possess 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

    • Excellent communication and presentations skills; ability to effectively present information
    • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; possess solid judgment, problem-solving and decision making skills

    • Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as ISO, LEAN, Six Sigma...etc.
