  • Responsibilities

    The Director of Operations is responsible for developing and executing operational strategies across all manufacturing facilities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate production volumes and responsibilities across all locations.
    • Launch and monitor processes and methods to ensure high quality and cost-efficiency.
    • Control and evaluate data related to cost-efficiency, consistency in quality, and compliance with standards. Utilize a plant data collection system for performance evaluation, production scheduling, costs information, and future transactions.
    • Drive service excellence, implementing processes to improve on-time deliveries (Customer satisfaction on requested date and OTIF on confirmed date).
    • Ensure the delivery of quality products through collaboration with the Quality department.
    • Assure compliance with company guidelines and legal aspects in all operating departments (collaboration with the HR community).
    • Foster a culture of goal setting and KPIs for various production and operational areas.
    • Promote staff collaboration, building a team with expertise, knowledge, and skills to fulfill tasks and deliver satisfactory products.
    • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement plans for CAPEX, new processes, and HR to accommodate growth objectives and adapt to market changes.
    • Develop and implement a continuous improvement culture, driving productivity improvements and identifying waste and time losses through Lean Manufacturing (CI).

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of large- and small-company experience, including 5 years in an executive-level position such as general manager, ideally in leading manufacturing in a rapid-growth environment. Preferably, experience in the Wine and Spirits or Packaging industry and an MBA.
    • Experience in materials management, from planning through purchasing, and negotiation and administration of multi-million-dollar procurement agreements.
    • Established relationships with a range of worldwide subcontract manufacturers and familiarity with their capabilities, pricing strategies, and negotiation tactics.
    • Experience or a past leading role in Quality, OHSE, and knowledge in OSHAS standards.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
    • Solid working knowledge of budgeting, sales, business development, and strategic planning.
    • Ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external constituencies.
    • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
