  • Responsibilities

    Our client in the construction services industry is looking to bring on a full time HR Coordinator. This person is responsible for providing efficient administrative and secretarial support to the HR department. The Coordinator ensures HR plans are administered in compliance with federal and state regulations, and that all provisions are properly followed.

    This position will be onsite at their office near Ontario. 

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process HR-related documents through payroll to maintain accurate records and proper deductions
    • Provide excellent customer service by responding to employee inquiries and requests
    • Manage personnel records, including payroll, personal information, leaves, onboarding, and offboarding
    • Process payroll and employee benefits changes (bonuses, merit increases, salary adjustments, leaves, etc.)
    • Accurately maintain employee profiles (new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions, etc.)
    • Monitor and implement applicable federal and state HR compliance requirements
    • Reinforce company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employee safety
    • Provide efficient problem-solving support to employees on HR-related issues
    • Conduct and analyze exit interviews, providing actionable recommendations
    • Coordinate training sessions and team building events as needed
    • Assist with employee compensation and performance management programs
    • Liaise with other departments, such as Payroll, Finance, and Operations
    • Support the termination process and performance review preparation
    • Perform general clerical duties, including photocopying, mailing, scanning, and emailing documents

    Qualifications:

    • 2-3 years of experience in an HR administrative or coordinator role
    • Strong knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations
    • Proficient in using HRIS software and Microsoft Office suite
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills
    • Organized with attention to detail and the ability to multitask
    • Problem-solving skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred
