    Our client, a respected non-profit organization, is seeking a talented and driven Grant Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact and contribute to an organization dedicated to serving the local community.

    As the Grant Manager, you will leverage your expertise to identify grant opportunities, prepare and submit compelling applications, and ensure proper tracking and reporting of awarded grants. Your exceptional grant writing and project management skills will be instrumental in securing the resources needed to further the organization's mission.

    This position is based onsite at their Oakland office with 4 days onsite and 1 work from home day.

    Grant Fundraising Manager

    Essential Responsibilities:

    • Manage a $6-7 million grant fundraising portfolio for the agency, with the portfolio growing as the agency expands.
    • Oversee a departmental budget of up to $350,000.
    • Manage a team of 2 staff in the Office of Mission Advancement, including providing leadership, training, supervision, work assignments, and professional development.
    • Direct the agency's grant processes from prospect research to application planning, submission, award review, signature, and tracking.
    • Identify government and private grant opportunities aligned with the agency's funding goals.
    • Evaluate potential grant opportunities and determine the agency's fit based on financial alignment, strategic alignment, implementation needs, and application requirements.
    • Develop grant request strategies, budgets, and scopes of work in collaboration with the OMA Director and Program Directors.
    • Manage the project management plan for all grant proposals, including roles, timelines, required components, review, and submission.
    • Review and approve all grant requests before submission.
    • Lead the process for determining which grant revenue to include in the annual agency budget.
    • Engage in ongoing quality improvement efforts by assessing the department for inefficiencies and risks, and implementing policies and procedures to remedy them.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of grant fundraising experience required.
    • 3+ years Management experience
    • College degree from a four-year institution preferred
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and excellent organizational skills.
    • Passion for working for a non-profit 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
