Our client in the education space is looking to bring on a Senior Benefits Administrator right away! This is a contract opportunity with the possibility to convert to full time for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable answering employee benefit questions, managing open enrollment, and serve as the liaison for vendor communications.
Some responsibilities:
- Administer and manage benefits programs including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and more
- Manage the annual benefits open enrollment process including preparation, communication, and support to employees
- Handle benefits inquiries and issues, providing high-quality support to employees with compassion and efficiency
- Manage benefit vendors and evaluate current plan performance and costs, including risks and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable country, state and other local laws and regulations
- Manage all level-of-absence administration, including, medical, personal, disability and FMLA
- Works on projects and data analysis as needed
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience administering HR operational programs, payroll, and/or benefits management
- Experience working in higher education or non-profit a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Experience in fast paced environments
- Highly organized, diligent about prioritizing projects, and capable managing complex processes
