Position Summary

This is a remote position for candidates based in the United States

You’ll support our efforts to manage accounts payable in the complex environment of an ad agency. With solid accounts payable experience, you’ll help us properly manage the process of billing accounts while reconciling payments to paid media channels. You’ll help our accounting team to establish best practices and be a part of a culture that encourages the highest level of performance, integrity, and ethical actions.

Responsibilities

• You’ll support our efforts to maximize revenue, improve financial visibility and control, and manage costs
• Meeting month-end close deadlines, providing financial results in a timely manner, risk mitigation, and reducing material weaknesses are all part of the position

Key Functions

• Establish, implement, and enforce financial and reporting policies and standards in compliance with GAAP and FASB and the requirements of other applicable regulatory bodies.
• Perform and supervise month-end close tasks as assigned including preparation and review of accounts payable and related account reconciliations including pass through media accounts
• Daily reconciliation of restricted cash received from clients for spending of pass through media
• Monitor cash disbursements, invoice entry, and expense policy for multiple entities
• Monitor corporate credit cards for spending in accordance with Company policies (Bill.com)
• Help execute the integration of our media payables system (MediaOcean) and accounting system (NetSuite)
• Ensure timely payment of all vendor bills
• Review and analyze departments reporting and comparison to monthly budgets
• Forecasting of cash disbursements
• Assist in managing divisional accounting team ensuring compliance with company’s policies and objectives.
• Ensure timely, accurate and reliable financial statements and reporting, and that policies and procedures meet other organizational objectives and needs
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures / policies
• Work with company’s external auditors.
• Undertake special projects and/or general management assignments as requested by senior management

**Your Qualifications
**

• BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
• 3+ years of previous work experience in accounting
• Experience with accounting in a project-driven and/or multi-subsidiary environment
• Solid understanding of accounting in a marketing or paid media environment is strongly preferred
• Experience with NetSuite. MediaOcean or equivalent experience is also great to have!
• Financial closing, consolidations, reporting and planning experience.

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000-$55,000. Actual compensation offered will range by experience and location.
