Under Farm Credit's cooperative structure, AgriBank is primarily owned by 14 local Farm Credit Associations, which provide financial products and services to rural communities and agriculture.     POSITION PURPOSE As a key member of the Commercial Lending team, you will be part of AgriBank’s mission to support the people who feed the world.  The Lending Officer will work on a team that manages and grows a portfolio of loans that meet profitability and credit quality targets, while maintaining a high level of credit administration.  Other duties will include fostering relationships with lending partners, analyzing credit requests, monitoring a portfolio(s) for credit quality, writing annual industry risk assessments, participate in the prior approval process and will have the opportunity to work on projects, bank-wide initiatives, committees and process improvement efforts. The level of the job will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant work experience, in which job functions and level of responsibility could vary.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree (finance, agricultural business, economics or accounting preferred)
    • 0 – 10 years of related experience
    • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

    Required Knowledge and Skills

    • Ability to perform complex credit analysis and administration
    • Ability to understand complex loan structuring
    • Knowledge of general accounting principles
    • Ability to manage relationships
    • Ability to work on a team
    • Knowledge of agricultural industry
    • Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
    • Skill in writing concise, logical, grammatically correct analytical reports to explain credit decisions and industry trends as it pertains to the job
    • Ability to utilize time in an efficient and effective manner
    • Skill in planning and coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders
    • Ability to travel 10-25% of the time
    • Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of AgriBank’s systems and data.
