    SUMMARY

    Cere Global Ag Corp. is growing its sustainable ag programming across the US northern plains and western Canada. Our program works to provide local, scalable agronomic solutions that add value to farm operations and deliver positive environmental outcomes. This position will focus on relationship development and program implementation and scaling with our grain and crop input cooperatives and grower partners through adoption of leading-edge agronomic practices. In addition, the role will drive on-farm testing and data collection. Candidates will have the opportunity to gain a broad perspective across a range of production areas while working with growers, cooperatives and end-use customers.

    The individual will need to have a strong agronomic background and a proven ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders in developing and executing program plans.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000.

    Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: Knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, location, and equity with internal employees.

    Responsibilities

    • Educate and coordinate sustainability programming with grain locations and crop input retailers.
    • Support cooperatives and input retail staff through joint farm calls as well as one-on-one grower engagement.
    • Collaborate with growers in developing and executing on-farm product and practice field trials.
    • Engage with merchandising staff to provide crop updates and yields estimates.
    • Develop farm 4R Nutrient Plans.
    • Coordinate field meeting and education workshops for growers and end-use customers.
    • Support growers in their adoption of new and proven technologies to demonstrate positive agronomic and environmental outcomes.
    • Drive awareness of emerging regenerative ag-based market opportunities for growers.
    • Develop and execute local programming to improve soil and water quality while reducing GHG emissions.
    • Utilizing knowledge of northern plains crop production, work directly with the merchandising managers in developing robust supply models for key commodities traded by Ceres.
    • Independently solve complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues appropriately.
    • Collaborate with Ceres team and end use customers to develop and execute regenerative ag and sustainability solutions through the supply chain.
    • Develop partnerships with public extension agencies and non-profits on co-funding at the grower level.

    Qualifications:

    • Required * A university degree in agronomy, plant or soil sciences. * Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills. * Willingness to pursue additional certifications such as 4R Nutrient Stewardship Certification Program, Certified Crop Adviser, and Professional Agrologist. * Experience in working with crop input retailers and agronomy services. * Strong project management skills. * Previous experience in developing crop and nutrients plans with growers. * Valid passport. * Valid driver’s license.

    • Preferred * Excellent communication skills to effectively and persuasively articulate positions to various audiences. * Experience with precision ag and farm information management systems. * Ability to prepare presentation content for growers and agronomy retailers. * Ability to influence others without direct authority over them. * Proven capability to develop and maintain strong collaborative business relationships. * Structured and proactive thinker with the ability to respond to unexpected situations; ability to think ahead and catch problems before they arise. * Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize. * Strong problem solving and analytical skills to proactively address and mitigate issues. * Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
