This position is ownership-level compensation tied to operational impact. Base salary and Performance Bonus range from $90,000 - $130,000. WHAT THIS ROLE REALLY IS You will come into the business and: • Study how we operate • Map how work actually flows (not how people say it flows) • Identify friction, redundancy, delays, and failure points • Design systems that eliminate them Your job is to connect people, platforms, and processes with AI and automation so the company runs cleaner, faster, and smarter — without adding headcount. This is a company-wide role, not a department role. THE CORE OBJECTIVE Design, build, and own an AI-driven operating layer across the business that: • Connects our systems • Reduces manual work • Eliminates bottlenecks • Enforces the process automatically • Creates visibility, accountability, and leverage If a task can be automated, it should be. If a decision can be assisted by AI, it will be. If a process breaks, the system should surface it immediately. Responsibilities: Business Operations Analysis • Deeply understand how the company operates end-to-end • Map workflows across departments, roles, and systems • Identify inefficiencies, handoffs, and failure points AI Automation Architecture • Design AI-powered workflows that replace manual effort • Use AI to validate inputs, detect issues, and guide decisions • Build logic for edge cases and exceptions Systems Integration • Connect tools such as Slack, CRMs, transaction systems, and document platforms • Ensure clean data flow between systems • Maintain identity, permissions, and ownership Process Enforcement Optimization • Turn best practices into enforced workflows • Reduce rework, errors, and delays • Continuously improve speed, accuracy, and reliability Exception Handling Visibility • Design alerting, reporting, and exception systems • Ensure leadership visibility when systems break • Reduce human involvement to true edge cases Security, Stability Scale • Design with access control and compliance in mind • Maintain audit trails • Build systems that scale with growth Qualifications: Technical • Workflow automation platforms (Make, n8n, Zapier, or similar) • API-based integrations or strong conceptual understanding • Slack workflow or app configuration • CRM and business system integrations • AI / LLM usage in production environments Strategic & Conceptual • Systems thinking • Process mapping • Translating human behavior into structured logic • Designing for edge cases and failure modes • Comfort operating without perfect instructions HOW SUCCESS IS MEASURED • Reduction in manual labor • Decrease in errors and rework • Speed improvements across workflows • Percentage of processes running without human intervention • Leadership confidence in the system If you can’t stand inefficiency, think in systems, and enjoy turning complexity into clarity, this may be the most interesting role you’ll ever have.
