    Job Description

    POSITION SUMMARY

    This role will be responsible for selling Air Exchange’s Vehicle Exhaust Extraction systems, products and services in Southern California and Nevada territory in the Exhaust Extraction (private industry), Education, Military and Municipal market segments. 

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Achieve annual Vehicle Exhaust Extraction products sales, service revenue and profit goals in assigned territory and segments
    • Visit end-user sites to qualify, quote and win sales and service opportunities
    • Geographic territory is Southern California and Nevada
    • Maintain and build relations with existing and new A&E / Bid & Spec contractors
    • Architects, engineers, general contractors and mechanical subcontractors
    • Work with sales and marketing colleagues in developing territory
    • Generate sales leads via existing and new customers, A&E, Bid and Spec contractors, networking, trade events, cold calling; in addition to leads from Air Exchange on and off-line marketing activities
    • Provide market feedback to management e.g. customer, competitor, exhaust and diesel fume regulations and trends
    • Develop quotes to customers and contractors in accordance with project requirements and bid specifications
    • Closely work with colleagues in developing quotations and bid packages including proper system design, products, installation, bonding and contract preparations when required
    • Closely interact with colleagues, contractors and customers to ensure successful project management (ie. purchase order accuracy, smooth delivery, installation, training of product) and after sales service activities
    • Train and update A&E and Bid and Spec contractors on product and system solutions, specifications and relevant indoor air quality codes and regulations
    • Work closely with Customer Service to:
      • answer customer and prospect inquiries looking for pricing, to place order, delivery status, RMA/quality complaints, product/installation/service troubleshooting or tech question
      • accurately process orders, invoice, accounts receivable collections when required
    • Use CRM tool to develop quotes, manage customer data, relations and sales activities
    • Achieve and maintain excellent rapport with customers and strives to provide best possible solutions and service
    • Travel as required within territory; overnight stays periodically required

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of 7 years direct, business to business sales experience is required; seasoned commercial sales representative with proven results and success
    • Sales experience in HVAC/ventilation industry, bid & spec contractor market, related or target industry strongly preferred
    • Strong commercial sales aptitude a must; project management experience and technical aptitude a plus
    • 2 year Associates degree required; 4 year Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical related field preferred
    • Ambitious, self-starter with ability to work independently or as a team
    • Quick learner with a positive “can win” attitude and excellent solution selling skills
    • Detail-oriented, organized individual with capacity to think strategically and prioritize sales activities with minimal supervision in his/her territory
    • Hands-on, self-assured, customer oriented and commercial astute professional who can develop long lasting relations
    • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills; bi-lingual English and Spanish a plus
    • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) skills
    • CRM experience
