    Air Export Coordinator

    Location: Atlanta, GA
    Pay: $24.00 per hour
    Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Air Export Coordinator to join our international logistics team in the Atlanta area. This role is responsible for coordinating the timely movement of international air export shipments while ensuring compliance with airline, customer, and government regulations. The ideal candidate has experience in freight forwarding or international logistics and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate international air export shipments from booking through final departure.
    • Prepare and process export documentation, including air waybills (MAWB/HAWB), commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping instructions.
    • Schedule cargo with airlines and monitor shipment milestones to ensure on-time departures.
    • Maintain communication with customers, overseas agents, airlines, trucking companies, and internal operations teams.
    • Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations, TSA requirements, and customer-specific shipping instructions.
    • Track shipments, proactively resolve service issues, and provide shipment updates to customers.
    • Verify shipment details, weights, dimensions, and documentation for accuracy.
    • Process billing, file management, and shipment records in the transportation management system (TMS).
    • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to coordinate cargo acceptance and flight cutoffs.
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in air export freight forwarding, international logistics, or transportation.
    • Knowledge of international shipping documentation and Incoterms.
    • Experience working with airlines, freight forwarders, and overseas agents.
    • Understanding of U.S. export compliance regulations and TSA cargo security requirements is preferred.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
    • Experience using CargoWise, Descartes, or similar freight forwarding software is a plus.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and meet strict deadlines.
