    We are seeking motivated, hard-working individuals with mechanical aptitude, and a desire to learn to fill Install Apprentice Helper positions within our HVAC Install Department. Daily responsibilities include install of ductwork and equipment, moving material, cleaning duties, and helping journeymen and lead installers. Responsibilities: • Assist with the installation of heating, ventilation, refrigeration, and cooling units for commercial, residential and industrial systems • Assemble and seal duct-work • Properly hang ductwork and associated fittings straight, plumb, and level • Cut in and install take offs • Install round pipe and associated fittings • Properly terminate flex to registers • Good working knowledge of blueprints, system layout, and duct design • Set and install rooftop units • Set/mount equipment, rough-in and trim duct systems, condensate piping, control wiring • Good time management to stay on task and on schedule • Ability to communicate effectively with the HVAC Foreman • Must have your own, and be able to properly use, sheet metal tools (including cordless drill • Maintain a professional appearance • Use a tablet to receive job assignments and complete work orders • EPA/CFC certified • Valid state driver's license and clean driving record • Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision • Participate in any provided training opportunities Qualifications: The right candidates must have the skills, knowledge, and craftsmanship to complete most or all types of HVAC projects. • A background in mechanical and hands-on construction is a plus • The ability to read a tape measure and understand instructions • Organizational skills and the ability to follow through with a high degree of quality workmanship • Communication skills both written and verbal • Honest with the ability to hold yourself accountable • Ability to work well with a team Compensation: $18 - $22 hourly
