Job Description

Purpose: Perform fieldwork in the installation, maintenance, modification, overhaul, service and repair of all types of door closers, gaskets, hinges, handle and other sliding mechanisms for refrigeration equipment based on the individual skill level.

1. TECHNICAL SERVICE

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and/or adjust commercial refrigeration doors, closers, gaskets, hinges, handles and other sliding mechanisms for refrigeration equipment.
• Make minor repairs to broken or cracked stainless steel welded joints within the kitchen environment.
• Observe additional safety needs requiring attention and report those to the appropriate supervisor.

2. CUSTOMER SERVICE – INTERNAL/EXTERNAL

• Consult with customers regarding problems or issues discovered while servicing their system.
• Assist in evaluating new and existing service accounts.
• Coordinate start and stop time with Service Coordinator.
• Submit all paperwork to Quality Assurance electronically or manually at the completion of each day’s work.
• Work closely with Service Coordinator to make sure customers’ needs are being fulfilled to their expectation and in a timely manner.
• Obtain and record on work ticket and communicate to vendor an appropriate purchase order number when purchasing job-related parts and supplies.

3. PAPERWORK ADMINISTRATION

• Submit all paperwork to Quality Assurance at the completion of each day’s work.
• Organize all work details (work performed, service recommendations, parts used, etc.) and complete an accurate work order for billing and payroll purposes.

4. TRAINING

• Commit to regular training classes to improve ability to troubleshoot and repair the types of equipment encountered during the course of normal business day

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Years/Type of Exp: Minimum one year of experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems: technical school may replace a portion of field experience. 3+ years is preferred
• High School Diploma and HVACR Vocational School
• Certification(s)/License(s): Valid Driver’s License, EPA 608 License
• Clean driving record is required
