Juniper Network Architect/Engineer (remote or Los Angeles)
Job Description
A strong candidate for this position would have extensive experience in:
IP, MPLS, backbone, and MSP/ISP engineering for a very large regional, national, or international MSO, CLEC, ILEC, ISP, or MSP Troubleshooting MPLS and TCP/IP routing, switching, transport, and/or transmission Juniper routers, switches, and firewall products, equivalent to a hands-on JNCIE-IP Cisco routers, switches, and firewall products, equivalent to a hands-on CCIE-RS Linux and Windows sysadmin/design Network security and firewalls Project management Inventory management Designing, implementing, and supporting large ISP and MSP infrastructure Automation tools, electronic processes, and data validation software/scripts QoS for VoIP-heavy core, edge, and access networks CPE associated to EoC, DoCSIS, MPLS, IP, DSL, copper and fiber Eth, DS-1, IPsec, and TDM/VoIP services Vendor contract negotiation and reviews Each of the responsibilities outlined in the duties portion of the job description
Qualifications
Qualifications Required:
A degree, preferably post-graduate, in Telecommunications, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 10-20 years of similar experience at a large regional, national or international MSO, CLEC, ILEC, ISP, or MSP Expert hands-on knowledge in Juniper routing, switching and security, preferably with JNCIE certification Advanced or expert hands-on knowledge in Cisco routing, switching and security, preferably with CCNP or CCIE certification
