    Job Description

    The Customer Service Agent is responsible for assisting guests by performing various tasks in baggage, ticketing, check-in and boarding flights as well as responding to guest inquiries and resolving complaints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assists customers with travel needs including check-in, baggage, boarding and general travel questions.
    • Evaluate and prepare flights by arranging seat assignments, directing guests, making announcements using a PA system processing upgrades and standby requests.
    • Assists with mishandled guests as a result of oversold flights, delayed or cancelled flights, lost, delayed or damaged luggage.
    • Help with luggage handling and transportation within the airport.
    • Process and secure guest luggage. Enters and maintains delayed or damaged luggage claims using a data entry system.
    • Assist passengers with mobility issues, including the use of wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
    • Accommodate passengers with special needs, ensuring a comfortable and safe experience.
    • At the direction of management, may be assigned to perform duties of varying capacities to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
    • Performs other duties as assigned, including tidying the interior of the aircraft.

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to learn and operate a computerized reservation system.
    • Typing speed of 25 WPM or more.
    • Ability to consistently lift 75lbs.
    • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
    • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, reach and grasp.
    • Ability to perform basic mathematics.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to participate in paid training that may require overnight travel.
    • Obtaining and maintaining an airport security clearance, and/or customs seal including criminal history check, drug screen, and fingerprinting.
    • Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • At least 18 years of age.
    • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

    Airport SIDA Badge Requirements

    Important notification for employees working at an airport or maintenance hangar: Employees will be required to obtain a SIDA badge provided by the airport authority and maintain good standing in order to keep their SIDA badge.     Union Information

    This position is part of a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Per the CBA, work schedules are awarded based on seniority. New hires are awarded their initial shift based on operational need. Therefore, the company cannot guarantee certain days off.
