    JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS:

    Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an AIRPLANES SYSTEMS TECHNICAL DESIGNER (ENTRY LEVEL AND ASSOCIATE) to be located in EVERETT, WA, or Renton, WA. The candidate will provide engineering and technical decisions for Boeing commercial aircraft (737, 747, 767, 777, and 787), or all-new airplanes(s) that are currently in early development states. The main area of focus will be to interpret and develop design requirements based on technical data to ensure compliance with Boeing and FAA requirements. Assignments will provide an excellent opportunity to learn mechanical systems on various platforms.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite.The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Develops and maintains basic engineering product definition. Prepares basic design layouts. Modifies existing designs. Assists in the coordination and development of work transfer packages. Verifies the accuracy of engineering data. Investigates and resolve routine manufacturing process or engineering-related issues.

    This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Associate’s Degree

    • 1+ years of CAD/CAM modeling in CATIA V5 and drafting of mechanical details and assemblies such as brackets, ducts, or tubes.

    • 1+ year of interpreting and designing to GD&T standards (ASME Y14.5 for drawings and ASME Y14.41 for CAD/CAM models).

    • 1+ year experience creating and managing configuration through Product Lifecycle Management platforms.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

    • Experience with tube routing and FT&A workbenches in CATIA V5.

    • Experience with ENOVIA and Siemens Teamcenter PLM platforms.

    • Experience managing CAD assemblies and respective geometry and Bill of Materials

    • 1+ Years of experience of proven technical experience in aerospace or other mechanical engineering industries

    • Familiarity with Model Based Engineering

    TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    LEVEL 1 - Associate’s degree with entry-level experience.

    LEVEL 2 - Associate's degree and typically 1 or more years of related work experience.

    In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience are required.

    SUMMARY PAY RANGE:

    Entry (Level 1): $40,600-$70,000

    Associate (Level 2): $47,000 - $84,000
