We are looking for a Detailer for a RV dealership.
Detailer Duties and Responsibilities
Detailers must be skilled at working with their hands and have an eye for detail. They must be motivated and customer service oriented. They should be reliable and good at time management.
Clean Interiors
One of the main duties of a Detailer is cleaning the interiors of the RV or Motorhome. This includes steam cleaning upholstery, shampooing carpets, vacuuming, wiping surfaces and deep clean restroom. Detailers may also be called upon to make minor repairs to upholstery and remove stains.
Clean Exteriors
In addition to cleaning the interiors, Detailers also concentrate on the exterior. They wash, wax, polish, buff and protect the paint jobs of the unit they work on. They clean all surfaces in-depth spending time cleaning the tires and even the undercarriage. They may be called upon to make minor paint fixes or mend small defects as well.
Manage Inventory
Detailers are responsible for managing supplies and equipment. They must order supplies when needed as well as keep close tabs on the chemicals and products they have on hand. They also repair and maintain all equipment and ensure all the proper safety gear is available for the operation of any given machine or tool.
Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license, a good driving record and ability to pass a background check and drug test
Can take direction and see a job through from beginning to completion
Willingness to learn and advance
The ability to stand, stoop, crawl, and bend for long periods of time
The ability to lift anywhere from 25-50lbs.
Work in environments that include heat, cold, dust, and loud noises
Strong attention to detail
Solid organizational and multitasking skills
Strong problem-solving skills
The ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility with work schedules; including Saturdays (we are always closed on Sundays)
Neat, clean and professional appearance Cleaning procedures and practices
Working with cleaning chemicals
Meeting physical requirements, such as lifting, bending, and standing for duration of shift
Ability to drive standard and manual transmission vehicles
Ability to drive a forklift
Previous experience working in detailing setting
