- Strong Snowflake knowledge (This is the key part)
- Good understanding of data-cloud & data-engineering concepts
- Good understanding of snowflake features and functions
- Hands-On Snowflake administration experience on Azure
- Pipeline Design and Management
- Performance tuning using Snowflake features
- Security (eg. RBAC) protocols
- Data Warehousing Concepts
- Understanding of Cloud Data Warehousing
- Master Data Management
- Data transfer, Data standardization / normalization etc
- ETL concepts
- Any ETL tool
- Database Management
- Change Management
- Audit Trail process knowledge
- Source Control (GitHub and deployments)
- SQL knowledge
- BI knowledge (Good to have)
- Understand functional / technical requirements
- Basic data modelling
- Design BI architecture
Some of the major activities to be performed by this candidate:
- Creating Users, Roles, warehouses and Snowflake objects such as procedures, v
- SSO Integration for authentication, such as Okta, azure single sign-on
- IP Whitelisting
- Data Recovery and Backup - Zero-Copy Cloning
- Snowflake Pipelines monitoring and maintenance
- SQL optimization/Data Export
- Managing Permissions to Roles and Users and Roles are created and provisioned
