    Skylla Engineering is seeking a 3D Modeler/Drafter Subject Matter Expert professional possessing experience with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) to provide technical and functional support to meet the individual requirements of C4ISR systems and platform integration. This effort is related to the Systems and Software Engineering and Acquisition Management Support for the Vehicular Technology Transition Integrated Products Team (IPT) in support of the Digital Integration Facility (DIF). The 3D Modeler/Drafter will be responsible for the creation of 3D models and 2D technical drawings in support of baselining existing vehicle systems and components. Personnel will convert legacy 2D drawings, typically not in a PTC CREO format, into complete 3D models using the appropriate PTC CREO 3D modeling tools, i.e. Sheetmetal Design, and recreating the 2D drawing in a PTC CREO format. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Support integration of prototype C4ISR subsystems
    • Support the customer in implementing advance technical processes and analytical techniques, support optimization of equipment and network resources, and advise on unique operational requirements
    • Communicate with management on all issues, concerns, problems, and accomplishments
    • Provide required reports, presentations and associated materials and complete tasks within required timeframes

    Required Skills

    Education: Technical Training in Engineering, Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Information Systems, or Business

    Proficient in PTC-CREO

    Ability to identify CAD file formats outside of the range of PTC products, and interact on a basic level in other CAD programs such as SOLIDWORKS and AUTOCAD

    Extensive knowledge in creating 3D models and 2D drawings of singular components to complex multi-part assemblies using the corresponding PTC CREO functions

    Extensive knowledge in the use of the PTC CREO Advanced Assembly Extensions (AAX) and Piping and Cabling Extension (PCX)

    • Must be able to use AAX to implement a top-down design approach using skeleton models
    • Must be able to use PCX to route cables in 3D and apply the appropriate metadata to cable, i.e. wire color and gauge

    Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Professional

    Ability to work with minimal supervision in a dynamic work environment

    Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

    Maintain professional interaction with Government clients, program management personnel and other contractors

    Highly capable candidates with similar skills in SolidWorks in lieu of PTC-CREO will also be considered

    Required Experience

    • Ten (10) years of hands-on experience with C4ISR projects to include three (3) of the following four (4) areas: Systems Requirements, Operational Requirements, Test & Evaluation, and Training
    • Familiarity with the creation of Technical Data Packages and associated standards such as MIL-STD-31000 and ASME Y14.100
    • Experience as a Windchill Heavy User utilizing PDMLink
    • Must have SECRET Clearance and the ability to maintain SECRET Clearance with background investigation
