    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Electro-Optic Engineer provides onsite support to Marine Corps Systems Command’s Electro-Optic Support Facility (EOSF)  Responsibilities include:

     

    • Testing multiple optical systems to include day optical systems, Image intensification systems, laser systems, and thermal systems.
    • Conduct electro-optical system testing, surveillance, troubleshooting, maintenance, maintenance management,
    • Develop test plans and test methods
    • Maintain test equipment.
    • Maintain inventory control and proper accountability documentation of all equipment.
    • Analyze test results, process testing data, and participate in limited user evaluations.
    • Support the government shipping process.
    • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the EOSF are maintained and followed.

    Required Skills

    • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electronic components.
    • Proficiency using precision measured instruments
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Power Point, Word, Excel, SharePoint, MS Project
    • Ability to work in a face paced environment.
    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment to cohesively meet the needs of the customer.
    • Asset accountability.

    DESIRED:

    • Understanding of basic system engineering management processes and experience in system engineering practices
    • Ability to use Oracle database systems to report and track data

    Required Experience

    • 7+ years’ experience maintaining and/or testing electro-optical equipment.

    DESIRED:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math discipline.
    • Prior Military experience a plus.
