    THE PURPOSE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO GATHER INFORMATION FROM INDIVIDUALS INTERESTED IN BEING AN INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME) WITHIN THIS PROGRAM. THIS EMPLOYMENT IS ON A COURSE BY COURSE BASIS. INDIVIDUALS ARE USUALLY ASSIGNED TO ONE, OR MORE, CLASSES FOR A SINGLE SEMESTER, BASED ON PROGRAM NEEDS. THESE POSITIONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR EMPLOYEE BENEFITS THROUGH THE COLLEGE. AS THESE ASSIGNMENTS ARE TO FILL A TEMPORARY PART-TIME NEED, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF FUTURE, EMPLOYMENT. THERE MAY, OR MAY NOT, BE INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE.     JOB DESCRIPTION:

    This certificate program is offered in one-semester (five courses). It provides instruction in basic pharmacy theories. Courses cover patient data input, processing prescriptions, medical insurance procedures, drug classifications and drug calculations. Learning experiences include lecture, lab, and clinical exposure in local retail and hospitals pharmacies. Students are required to complete a total of 90 clinical hours. Sites and times of clinical hours may vary. The majority of clinic hours will be day shift. A few evening shifts may be available. To ensure success in this class, you should have knowledge of basic algebra, proportional calculations, both reading/writing skills, keyboarding and computer skills. This program prepares you to work in a pharmacy setting under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, performing activities that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist.
