Job Description

OVERVIEW: This is a position on the Waymo Software Quality Operations team, which ensures the quality of autonomous-driving software. The team performs quality assurance on new software, reports bugs, and helps improve internal tools. DESCRIPTION: This position provides a great opportunity to help bring an innovative product to life. An ideal candidate for this position has a curious mind, enjoys gaining new knowledge on the go, and is comfortable with ambiguity. They can read and interpret technical documentation and possess technical acumen. They are dedicated to their work, have a keen attention to detail to meet quality standards, and can handle repetitive tasks. Coachability, collaboration, and effective communication are important for this role. New team members will be given extensive training on our internal tools and workflows upon hiring. They are expected to keep all project details confidential. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and assess testing data to identify problematic areas
• Create test scenarios
• Provide feedback to technical stakeholders
• Identify and report bugs
• Keep track of issues

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS/BA degree
• Attention to detail
• Ability to quickly learn new skills and tools
• Strong work ethic

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in science, technology, physics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, information systems, or other fields that show technical acumen
