TITLE: Intelligence Analyst (Analyst III)

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

PROJECTED DURATION: 12 Month extendable contract

PAY RATE RANGE: $77.00 - $91.00/ HR W2 + Benefits

 JOB OVERVIEW  

We are seeking (2) INTELLIGENCE ANALYST to synthesize intelligence, forecast, and prioritize threats that could harm the company or its users. In this role you will help to identify and prioritize high priority intelligence and incidents weekly and coordinate and align them with all major intel/risk, product, enforcement, and policy teams. 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Contextualize geopolitical developments and social issues.
• Evaluate, analyze, and conceptualize strategic risks and threats to trust in the company and its users
• Identify emerging trends and forecast new forms of abuse
• Translate how global developments could cause potential adverse impact on the company’s users

TOP 3 DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Synthesize multidimensional information and data sources clearly and concisely for different audiences, including executives
• Investigate, analyze, and report on identified trends and incidents on a weekly basis

MANDATORY SKILLS & EDUCATION

• Degree in Law, Political Science, International Relations, Journalism, Anthropology
• 5+ total experience (including Academic exp)
• 2+ years of experience in intelligence, protective intelligence, security analysis, threat management, risk management or a related field (as Academic scholar, Researcher, NGO member or worked with Security/Intelligence teams)
• Excellent writing and drafting skills in English
• Strong understanding and work-experience of international and geopolitical events and how they impact Global businesses and/or Relevant work experience in research-based role
• Ability to identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision, at times under adverse and stressful conditions
• Fluency and experience in using Word/Excel/PPT or GSuite
• Calm under pressure, with an ability to function well in urgent, developing situations
• Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once

 DESIRED SKILLS

• The ideal candidate will have a degree in political science, journalism, digital media, or a related field, or have a technical or advanced degree such as a PhD
• Understanding of international and geopolitical events and how they may impact a global company
• Proven track record of an investigative, data-driven approach to answering complex questions
• Strong interest in internet, news media and current events
• Familiarity with Internet technologies and related policy and regulatory environments is a plus
• High degree of initiative and deadline-driven productivity
