POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Our Legal team is seeking a Web Application Developer to design, implement, and maintain web-based applications for internal business use. Sample applications may include a secured support web site, a workflow website, and other internal process tools. We offer an exciting opportunity to be a key contributor in implementing new tools to increase the effectiveness of our Operations & Project Management team. You'll help us to build solutions that connect disparate systems, automate administrative tasks, track new metrics, synthesize information, and visualize insights to support strategic decisions.

As a Web Developer for the Discovery & Litigation Support Team, you'll play an integral role in supporting our Lead and Outside Counsel on litigation and investigations. You’ll work hands-on with technical data exports and support multiple, fast-paced matters at once. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the day-to-day management of our data collection, processing, and production efforts, as well as serving as a solutions consultant on complex, cross-functional projects. You'll work closely with both internal stakeholders and external vendors with the goal of creating and managing the most efficient and cost-effective processes to support our responses to legal requests.

This candidate will spend 70% of their time focusing on code development and 20-30% of their time on administrative tasks, in order to understand the problem area to better develop code. 

MANDATORY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following programming languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Angular.
• Years of experience: minimum of 3 years.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong programming ability and proficiency with backend (Python, Java) and frontend (Angular 2/ TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML).
• Able to design and implement maintain highly complex systems and subsystems.
• Strong technical and project-management skills; cross-functional relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, and debugging.
