Akron Montessori School seeks Toddler Teachers for a gentle and kind Infant-Toddler learning environment, for children from 1 to 2 1/2 years old. Applicants should have a college degree or be enrolled in a degree program. A college major in education is excellent but not a requirement. We offer some flexibility in work hours, and may be able to fit your needs if you plan on working while attending college classes. Salary is competitive for the field, and depends on qualifications and work experience. Our Montessori environment gives children real-life, hands-on learning experiences in a setting featuring natural materials, no electronic toys, and an approach that prefers concentration and focus, not overstimulation. We allow children to work on skills at their own pace. We speak to all our children calmly and show respect for their boundaries, and teach them to do the same for others.
