Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and outgoing Office Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will provide a variety of clerical and administrative support to our employees, ensuring the office runs smoothly and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, checking patient in/out, balancing daily deposit, closing the day, and coordinating front office activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
Responsibilities
Assist with the development, updating, and maintaining relevant office procedures
Work within an IEHR (ModMed- EMA)
Answer multiline phone system
Use Klara to communicate patient messages
Patient reminder calls
Schedule patient appointments
Work at the front desk; check patients in/out, run insurance eligibility, collect deductibles and copayments, obtain insurance referrals and prior authorizations
Work under pressure with the ability to multitask
Balance and close your daily batch
Assist patients with insurance questions
Address and resolve customer concerns with a professional attitude
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree or administrative training is preferred
Proven leadership and supervisory skills
Use of EMA ModMed EHR a PLUS
One year of dermatology experience a PLUS
Previous experience as an Office Coordinator or in a similar position in medical office for at least 3+ years
Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles
Excellent computer skills and knowledge of Google Workspace and Google Drive
Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects
