Alamo Glass is a locally owned and operated Austin company since 1960’s. Our customers consist of residential and commercial properties.
We are looking to hire a glazier to measure, cut, and install glass fittings in homes and businesses.
Job Type: Full-time
Required Experience:
Residential or Commercial Glass Installation
Job Responsibilities:
Measuring and marking lines or patterns on glass before cutting
Cutting glass to size and specifications
Loading glass or mirror fittings onto trucks for transport to job site
Driving truck to job sites and unloading glass and materials with care
Cutting and removing broken glass prior to new installation
Operating ladder, scaffold, and sometimes lifts with suction cups to lift heavy glass units
Cleaning the job area once glass has been installed and the client is satisfied
Ability to take project from concept to completion
Comply with company safety and quality control regulations
Physical demands:
Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation
Physical dexterity
Climbing, bending, pulling, pushing, lifting, balancing, walking, stopping, and handling materials
Must be able to lift / carry 50+ pounds
Qualifications:

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Strong attention to detail
Not afraid of heights is REQUIRED
Self-motivated, thrive in fast moving environments, and able to manage time to effectively meet deadlines

Pay: Commiserate with Experience – Starting at $21.00 per hour
