Job Title: Non-Destructive Testing Technician
Pay Rate: $22.00-$28.00/hour
Hours of Work: First Shift 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
Location: 3200 6th Avenue South, Seattle, WA
Job Summary:
Act in a Quality Assurance capacity inspecting welds on pipe, fittings and tubing using x-ray technology.
Required Essential Job Skills/Conditions:
1. Application must be filled out completely by the Applicant.
2. Individual must be certifiable as a Level 1 or 2 NDE relative to education, training, and experience as per the "Quality Assurance Written Practice."
3. Upon training or experience, must pass examination with a composite grade of at least 80%, with no single grade of less than 70%. At least 90% of known defects in test object must be found.
4. Able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
5. Able to read tape measure accurately to 1/16".
6. Able to pass Jaeger eye test (J-1)
7. Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
Desirable Job Skills/Experience:
1. High school diploma or GED
2. Possess lift truck certification.
3. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Required Essential Job Functions/Duties:
1. Set up and perform radiographic examinations.
2. Interpret and evaluate test results relative to codes, standards and specifications
3. Organize and report results of testing and/or investigations.
4. Other duties as assigned.
Training Offered:
1. Forklift truck operation.
2. Overhead crane operation.
3. Dye penetrant examination.
4. Safety procedures.
